I think we all feel this way at several stages of our lives. Some more than others. I guess the comforting thing to know is, “this too shall pass”. It’s extremely hard to think of anything positive or be optomistic about a helpless situation in our lives. Some times we need to look out when looking in makes us feel helpless. I came across a heartbreaking article on “The caged humans of Bali”, it’s sad to admit that some times we can be so blinded by our own self-absorbtion.

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challlenged to change ourselves.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
